Anyways, as someone who’s but looking for that rpg to scratch that itch instead of replaying those same games of years past, and waiting for the new ones, I’m pleasantly surprised. There’s a quest (no spoilers) that’s as simple as following some people at nightfall to catch a culprit that makes me think of elder scrolls. My only personal gripe is I barely have any money to do the whole skills part of it but I’m leveling up and having a great time. I’m more of a fantasy guy than sci-fi but I really like the mix going on here. Granted, I’m only playing on normal and only about 4 hours into it, but I’m getting strong elder scrolls / Witcher / dragon age and even some greedfall vibes. Series X has been weak on new rpgs since launch, in my opinion, and with some of the games I’m looking forward to that are either months to a year away, this is amazing. I realize the bugs (haven’t run into any myself yet, on series x but have read about them) and some other problems with the game, but as someone who never played the first game, this is what I’ve been looking for.
